Bristol Waste required a finance professional capable of combining operational finance leadership with commercial business partnering. The assignment focused on leading a finance team whilst supporting operational managers in identifying cost-saving opportunities and improving long-term financial planning.

As Finance Manager, I oversaw monthly reporting activities and managed a team responsible for the New Business division. Alongside this, I worked closely with operational stakeholders to challenge costs, improve financial understanding and support commercial decision-making across the business.

A key achievement was the development of a two-year profitability and cash-flow forecast used to support future funding discussions. I also designed a new commercial costing model for operational teams, providing improved pricing consistency and better financial visibility when assessing new business opportunities.
